Pengshi Town is located in the south of Tianmen City and borders the Han River. It has 30 administrative villages and 1 community neighborhood committee. It covers an area of 77.6 square kilometers and has a population of 59,000. Pengshi fishing net products are exported to Russia and the coastal areas of Southeast Asia. The industry has the reputation of "Pengshi fishing net out of Pengshi, Pengshi fishing net world". Pengshi Town is one of the "old eight towns" of Tianmen. The south is on the Hanjiang River, and the natural deep-water wharf connects Wuhan and Shanghai. The Jinpeng Highway in the north leads to Tianmen City, which intersects with Tianxian Highway. The Pengma Highway in the east is directly connected to the Shanghai-Ronghe High-speed Rail Tianmen South Station. The west-long Yanjiang Highway is directly connected to Suiyue Highway.
Pengshi Town is rich in agricultural products. Peanuts, sesame and beef cattle produced along the Yangtze River are unique; historically, it is famous for its ginger, garlic and so on. Therefore, "Ginger Garlic Pengshihe" is said.
