Mayang, known as Ma Yuetan in the ancient times, was named after Guan Yu's leaping into the deep lake during the Three Kingdoms period. Mayang is located in the southeast of Tianmen, across the river from Xiantao in the south, and connected to Shenhu by the water in the north.
